Newport Leisure Centre
Newport Leisure Centre is a health and wellbeing centre comprising of a leisure pool, training pool, active hall, fitness suite, studios, green roof, active roof and café, located on a brownfield site along the Usk River in Wales. The proposed building sits one metre above ground level due to the flood risk and will be designed to the Welsh LZC (Low or Zero Carbon) requirement of BREEAM excellent. I was the project architect on this project, successfully leading the project through planning, technical design, and to start of construction.
